A creative soul, Amanda is a groomer, novelist, and Middle Eastern dancer. Originally from Gainesville, Georgia, she has been grooming in the Atlanta area since 2014 and loves spending her days making dogs beautiful and happy. She has a degree in psychology from Georgia Tech and spent a semester training goats at the Atlanta Zoo to do tricks. At home, she has 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a husband. Her goal is to one day be a published author living on an alpaca farm (they need haircuts, too) with a duck pond and horses.
Annaliyah’s attention to detail makes her a great concierge at Lucky & Lady. Around a mix of pets since childhood, she loves the simplicity and innocence of pet relationships. Annaliyah was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia and now lives on Atlanta’s Westside. When she’s not planning pet stays with us, she enjoys painting and is passionate about acting and singing. She hopes to one day perform on Broadway while owning a pet sitting business.
Ayanna finds true joy in watching, and nurturing, puppies as they grow into adolescence and adulthood. As a concierge at Lucky & Lady, Ayanna dotes over every reservation detail to ensure every stay with us is as special as possible. She is originally from Moultrie, Georgia and now calls Forest Park home. Ayanna loves spending time with her husband, Rodney, and their wonderful children. From turtles and fish to dogs and snakes, Ayanna is a true pet enthusiast. One day she hopes to operate a bed and breakfast.
Beau is a pet enrichment specialist at Lucky & Lady, helping to ensure pets in our Enhanced Day Care program learn in a safe, affectionate environment. Originally from Ohio, Beau now lives in Atlanta with his longtime girlfriend. Together they have three dogs – Sasha, Twain and Sputnik – along with a lizard. Beau is an avid sports fan and roots for Atlanta United and the Atlanta Falcons.
Carmaletta is a concierge at Lucky & Lady. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Carmaletta is retired from a career involving work at the Detroit Zoo, as a researcher, and work on a farm. She now lives in Jonesboro, Georgia where she is close to her son and four granddaughters, whom she enjoys taking to zoos, safaris and petting farms. She’s not sure where her love for animals and pets originated, but says they naturally gravitate to her. Carmaletta enjoys music, yoga, mediation and healthy eating.

A forever dog lover, Christina is the owner of Peachtree Dog Training and our head dog trainer. She is a certified dog trainer employing rewards-based techniques to resolve behavioral issues and strengthen relationships. Christina is a graduate from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Canine Trade Group’s exclusive dog trainer program. Christina lives in Southeast Atlanta with her partner and pets, Agador (Pittie mix) and Lord Asriel (Lord of the Black Cats). When she’s not loving on dogs, she’s often found gardening, studying classical Chinese dance, working out, or reading a good book.
This native of Jonesboro, Georgia is a pet enrichment specialist at Lucky & Lady. A lover of all pets and mom to pets from Rottweilers to cats, Chyna enjoys the process of real pet learning and enrichment. She hopes to one day become a therapist and operate her own business. Chyna is currently studying psychology at Georgia Gwinnett College. In her spare time Chyna enjoys writing, reading and painting.
As a pet enrichment specialist at Lucky & Lady, Cooper helps to ensure dogs in our Enhanced Day Care program receive just the right amount of play, human interaction and positive reinforcement. Originally from Braselton, Georgia, Cooper has parented all sorts of pets, from bearded dragons and chinchillas to hamsters. He’s now the parent of a beautiful German Shepherd dog and thrives on the “breakthroughs” he experiences with pets. Cooper is studying nursing at Georgia State University where is also plays Division I Soccer. He hopes to become a nurse practitioner.
If there’s a pup coming or going from Lucky & Lady, you’ll likely see Corbin reaching for a leash. A longtime kitty pet parent, Corbin adores dogs and assisting clients as a concierge, helping to build the best, most customized stay with us. Born in the ATL, Corbin calls East Atlanta Village home. He’s a phenomenal saxophone player who enjoys the company of friends, visiting parks and writing. He hopes to become a film and television writer and director.
Courtney is a reservation specialist at Lucky & Lady, helping to build the most customized experience for pets in our Beyond Boarding and Cat Stay & Play programs. She’s mom to three kitties and has parented a variety of dogs. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Courtney now lives in Duluth, Georgia. She’s an avid food and travel blogger, writer and designer of cookbook covers. As a shelter volunteer, Courtney fostered several dogs and helped to find forever homes for them.
Destiny is a pet enrichment specialist at Lucky & Lady, helping to ensure the safest doggo interactions and conversations in our Enhanced Day Care program. Having been around dogs since she was very young, Destiny one day aspires to become a veterinarian to exotic animals and pets. The Atlanta native is mom to a 4 year old beagle mix and a Red-Eared Slider Turtle, along with caring for two tropical fish tanks. Destiny enjoys baking from scratch for both humans and pets and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Georgia State University.
A total pet lover, Dion is a concierge at Lucky & Lady, helping to personalize every pet’s stay in our Beyond Boarding and Cat Stay & Play programs. Originally from Rahway, New Jersey, Dion now calls Riverdale, Georgia home. He’s been around dogs most of his life and sees them as real friends. He loves to hike, travel, watch movies, eat and exercise. Dion earned a bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Montclair State University. He is active in musical theater and enjoys performing before live audiences.
Emily is a trainer for the Play & Train program at Lucky & Lady. Born and raised in Atlanta, she’s been a caregiver to animals, plants, and humans since childhood. Being a nurturer comes naturally to Emily. She and her partner are loyal servants to their special needs rescue cat, Lord Meowthew, who is the best cuddle companion. When not caring for fur babies, Emily enjoys spending her time in performance arts, hiking, swimming, and most recently, foraging & mycology. She holds a Fine Arts Bachelors degree in Musical Theatre.
Ezeta is a pet stylist at Lucky & Lady. With more than 20 years of experience, she earned the certification of Master Pet Groomer and studied at the International Academy of Pet Design and at the Community College of Allegheny County. Ezeta fell in love with pet grooming at a young age, having had a neighbor who was a professional pet groomer. Ezeta was part of a team to open the first pet grooming business in Bahrain. When she’s not in our Grooming Spa, Ezeta enjoys being with family and listening to music.
Frankie is a reservation specialist at Lucky & Lady. She comes to us from England where she became a registered veterinary nurse. She holds a degree in zoology and a certificate in animal behavior. Frankie is continuing her education and plans to own a canine behavioral business. She’s a cancer survivor and helps to counsel other women survivors. Frankie is passionate about music, cooking and the outdoors. She lives in Decatur, Georgia with her husband and “Rook,” a German Shepherd and Alaskan Malamute mix.

If you’re calling to make a new reservation for your pet, chances are you’ll be welcomed by Jazmin. A reservation specialist, Jazmin comes to Lucky & Lady from the U.S. Navy. She’s parented snakes, fish, small rodents and a dog. Originally from Oakland, California, Jazmin now calls Woodstock, Georgia home. She’s passionate about spending quality time with family and friends. She is currently studying aviation maintenance.
For Keanna, it’s all about learning. With a bachelor’s degree in biology and the drive to constantly do more, she is an amazing pet boarding attendant at Lucky & Lady. She also serves pets in our care as a pet enrichment specialist. She’s mom to a cat and a bearded dragon. Keanna was born in New York, but has lived much of her adult life in Pennsylvania and South Carolina. She now calls Decatur, Georgia home. She enjoys reading, crochet and video games.
Lisa’s love for pets began as a toddler the very day her dad brought home a Beagle-mix puppy. Lisa spotted the worried pup beneath the sofa and, when he barked, she exclaimed “It works!” Lisa’s adoration of pets brought her to us as a pet enrichment specialist on our Alpha Team. Seen here with Mr. Scooty, a rescued Schnauzer mix, Lisa is also a mom to Butters (Cockapoo), Lola (Shepherd-Hound rescue), and 2 rescued cats named Harry and Mowzie. Lisa is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and enjoyed a career in marketing and branding.
From Shih Tzu’s and German Shepherd Dogs to Cocker Spaniels and Poodles, Luther has known pets since childhood. Born in Taiwan and raised in California, Luther is a pet enrichment specialist at Lucky & Lady. He’s super passionate about animal rights. When he’s not engaging dogs in our Enhanced Day Care program, Luther is often found watching sports and movies, bowling and spending time with family. He’s currently studying photography and one day hopes to operate his own pet care business.
Maddrey is a concierge at Lucky & Lady, helping to make every pet’s stay with us perfect through customization and personalization. She’s a musical theater graduate with honors from the University of Texas, Austin. Originally from Dallas, Maddrey spent time in several west cost cities before calling Midtown Atlanta home. She and her fiance parent two Mini Aussie Shepherds named Appa and Aspen, along with a tuxedo cat named Melrose. Maddrey hopes to operate visitor rentals and travel the world.

To say Marsha loves being in the company of pets would be an understatement. Marsha has contributed to the wellbeing of pets and animals for more than 34 years. While managing a comprehensive animal care program at Emory University, Marsha also holds multiple roles at Lucky & Lady, where the pets often appear to communicate with her without even a sound. Marsha and her wife have lived in East Atlanta Village for more than twenty years. Marsha is an avid gardener, bird watcher and pet lover. She’s seen here with her 14-year-old Sophie.
Surrounded by various pets and animals her entire life, Mayasa is a pet enrichment specialist at Lucky & Lady. She appreciates the important connection between pets and people and is studying veterinary medicine. Mayasa is an Atlanta native who now calls Fairburn, Georgia home. She’s mom to an adorable Pit-Boxer mix and, when she’s not doting over pets, she’s likely playing volleyball.
In Nya’s role at Lucky & Lady, it’s all about detail. Nya is a pet boarding attendant, helping to ensure pets in our Beyond Boarding and Cat Stay & Play programs are nourished, comfortable – and most important – happy. Originally from Decatur and now living in East Point, Nya is mom to a Yorkie-Schnauzer mix and two red-nose Pit Bulls. When she’s not running our pet kitchen or walking pets overnight, Nya enjoys playing the saxophone and is eager to return to the theatre as a stage hand.
From dogs and turtles to snakes and crayfish, Rodney gets pets, which makes him perfect for a dual role. He’s part pet enrichment specialist and part pet boarding attendant at Lucky & Lady. Rodney helps to ensure our evening transition from Enhanced Day Care to Beyond Boarding goes perfectly. He looks after everything from pet meals, pet walks and he provides a lot of pet love. Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Rodney now lives in Forest Park, Georgia with his wife and beautiful daughter. He loves children and pets and one day hopes to own his own business.
A former journalist and public relations guy, it took a minute for Ryan to realize his purpose is really pets. As the president of Lucky & Lady, he can be found just about anywhere in the facility, even on the roof making sure our systems are running perfectly. Ryan enjoys time with pets most, which makes sense after nearly four years of research to create our ultimate pet experience. The longtime Grant Park resident is seen here on adoption day for Bichon siblings Duke and Daisy, who joined Samson, the peki-shihtzu-poo (yeah, look that up somewhere, LOL).
So, the Ryan’s here come in pairs. This Ryan is the vice president of Lucky & Lady and partner to the other Ryan. Seen here with their third dog, Samson, Ryan is most commonly behind the scenes, helping to ensure our operation is running smoothly. Originally from Southern California, Ryan works as a marketing executive representing farmers. His joy comes in snuggling with all of the family’s dogs and telling stories about his childhood pets – cats, a dog, a salamander, a hamster and fish.
This Atlanta native knows a lot about dogs, their coats and the importance of proper pet grooming for health. Ted is a pet stylist in the Lucky & Lady Grooming Spa. When he’s not grooming pets, Ted enjoys cooking and caring for his family’s nine children in Adair Park. Ted’s been a professional groomer for more than 20 years and hopes to one day own and operate his own pet salon.
